I love celebrating little events that bring people together around the world. So when I heard that Monday September 18th is the first annual Hide a Book Day, naturally, I became ecstatic. I love this idea. Essentially, one should take his or her favorite book, and hide it somewhere for someone else to find. So simple, and so elegant! Details can be found here

So which book do you choose? For me, I feel compelled to share Haruki Murakami (that should come as no surprise!) I think I will choose Kafka on the Shore. But now, where to put it? I love the idea of placing it outside, but rain can be a serious issue. Perhaps a museum? Or a local coffee shop?
