OWLs Wrap-Up

Phew! September is officially done, where the heck did it go? September was a pretty crazy month for me: I had company from out of town, I helped organize and run a scientific conference, and, oh! I participated in the OWLs Read-a-thon.

I used the read-a-thon as not only a way to catch up on my Goodreads goal of reading 40 books this year, but also to get to know some of the blogging community better. As a reminder, here are the books I proposed reading over the month:

And the scoring breaks down as following:

Pass grades:
Outstanding– sit (and pass) at least 5 OWLs
Exceeded Expectations – sit (and pass) at least 3 OWLs
Acceptable – sit (and pass) at least 2 OWLs
Fail grades:
Poor – sit only one OWL
Dreadful – start but not finish any OWLs tasks
Troll – do not show up at your OWLs examinations

So how did I do?

Pass:
Arithmancy: One of Us is Lying
Charms: Fairest
History of Magic: Hope Never Dies
Muggle Studies: How to Tame a Fox

Started:
Defense Against the Dark Arts: The Love Interest

So in all, that brings my score to an Exceed Expectation with only 50 pages separating me from an Outstanding T.T

On the bright side, this really helped me catch up on my reading list for the year! And I met so many wonderful bloggers along the way. I heard they will be doing the NEWTs in November, so you are sure to find me there 😉
